Vinegar to be used in meals should be stored in a glass bottle in the refrigerator. If it will be used for cleaning and disinfection, it can be stored in plastic bottles in a cool environment. When vinegar spoils, it turns into alcohol and gives a very sharp taste.

Since vinegar is a liquid with a long shelf life, it does not spoil easily if stored in a cold and dark environment. It is normal for vinegar to become a little more sour as it stands.
